Quintessential is currently favourite in online betting markets and is paying odds of $4.80.

The three-year-old filly has won three of her ten race starts and has earned more than $100,000 in prize money during her horse racing career.

Quintessential is in the box seat for this weekend’s 2012 Queensland Oaks after securing barrier one in yesterday’s barrier draw.

The Fast ‘n’ Famous filly has finished fourth in her two most recent starts in the Group 3 Gunsynd Classic and the Group 3 The Roses.

Prior to that, Quintessential placed third in the Group 1 New Zealand Oaks at Trentham on March 17, 2012, behind Miss Artistic.

Miss Artistic is presently the second favourite to win the 2012 Queensland Oaks at $5.
