Nominations have been released for the 2012 Queensland Oaks, which is due to run at Eagle Farm Racecourse on June 2, 2012.

Included in the 2012 Queensland Oaks is Joy’s Choice, who is trained by Graeme and Debbie Rogerson in New Zealand.

The Redoute’s Choice filly has won two of her nine race starts and has earned more than $40,000 in prize money.

Joy’s Choice ran fifth in the Group 1 New Zealand Oaks last start on March 17, 2012, at Trentham Racecourse.

Prior to that she finished second by a nose to Artistic in the Listed Sunline Vase and third by less than a length in the Group 2 New Zealand Bloodstock Royal Stakes.

“She is very well, she’s won a jump out and I’m more than happy with the way she has worked this week,” Rogerson said.

Gioe is also one of the 87 in the 2012 Queensland Oaks nominations.

The Hussonet filly is yet to win any of her eight race starts, despite finishing fifth in the Group 1 Crown Oaks at Flemington racecourse last spring.

Gioe’s most recent result was a second in a $15,000 maiden handicap at Werribee on April 19, 2012.

She is due to run in the Group 1 Australasian Oaks at Morphettville Racecourse tomorrow April 28, 2012.

Artistic, Angel Of Mercy and Rahveel are also part of the 2012 Queensland Oaks nominations.
