The Group 1 2016 Queensland Oaks is considered the premier staying event for fillies during the Brisbane Winter Racing Carnival, taking place over 2,400 metres. Offering prize money of $400,000, the race takes place at set-weights and is held at the Eagle Farm Racecourse.

The 2016 Queensland Oaks was due to take place on the 4th June but due to weather conditions the race has been postponed to Saturday June 11th.

The Brisbane Winter Racing Carnival takes place during May – June every year and is shared between the beautiful and prestigious Doomben and Eagle Farm Racecourses.
