The Group 1 Queensland Oaks is considered the premier staying event for fillies during the Brisbane Winter Racing Carnival, taking place over 2,400 metres. Offering prize money of $400,000, the race takes place at set-weights and is held at the Eagle Farm Racecourse.
The Brisbane Winter Racing Carnival takes place during May – June every year and is shared between the beautiful and prestigious Doomben and Eagle Farm Racecourses. Host to some of the state’s premier horse racing events, the carnival has some fantastic racedays on offer, one of which is the Queensland Oaks Day. Other races to run on the Queensland Oaks Day are the Group 2 BRC Sires Produce Stakes (1400m), the Group 2 Eagle Farm Cup (2200m), the Group 2 QTC Cup (1300m) and the Group 2 Dane Ripper Stakes (1400m).
